Dream Objects, 2014
I made this series of cyanotypes from geometry models held in the collection of the Museum of Jurassic Technology in Culver City, CA. The process of making the images — setting the object on sensitized paper and allowing rays of the sun to render the image — meant there was a direct relationship between the three-dimensional model and the image that appeared on the flat paper. These cyanotypes were incorporated into Dream Objects, an editioned portfolio of images and accompanying text (by St. Paul writer Vivek Chadaga) inspired by Surrealist games.
